1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TakeHome ("the Service"), available at take-home.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TakeHome is a web-based application that helps homebuyers capture impressions during home tours, compare properties, and make decisions. The Service includes a free tier and a paid tier (Home Search Pass). Features described as "coming soon" (such as Couples Mode) are not guaranteed and may change.
3. User Data and Storage
In solo mode, your data is stored locally in your web browser using IndexedDB. TakeHome does not transmit, collect, or store your personal data on any server unless you opt into features that require cloud sync (such as Couples Mode, when available). You are responsible for backing up your data using the Export feature. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your TakeHome data.
4. Accounts and Authentication
The free tier does not require an account. Features that require cloud sync (when available) will require authentication through a third-party provider (such as Google or Apple sign-in). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
5. Payment and Refunds
The Home Search Pass is a one-time, non-recurring purchase processed through Stripe. All prices are in USD. You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting us. After 7 days, refunds are provided at our discretion.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service; use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, logos, and content, is owned by Field Assembly LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create within the Service (notes, photos, ratings).
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Field Assembly LLC does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. TakeHome is not a real estate advisor and does not provide real estate, financial, or legal advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Field Assembly LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunities, reputation, or profits, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email if you have an account.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
